A VIP Lunch and fundraiser was held last August 30, 2024 at Ginger Olive Restaurant with National Artist for Music, Maestro Ryan Cayabyab and the Ryan Cayabyab Singers as guests performing for the benefit of GK’s Kusina ng Kalinga – feeding malnourished children and lactating mothers. Joining the GK team were faculty and students from Catholic Regional Colleges North Keilor who shared their experiences during their recent immersion in GK Philippines. The VIP Lunch was also graced by the presence of Consul General Lourdes Salcedo, Mr Nick Staikos, Parliamentary Secretary for the office of the Premiere of VIC, Mr David Southwick – Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Liberal Party; Ms Georgie Crozier, Shadow Minister for Health and Ambulance and Ms Renne Heath – MP for Eastern Victoria. The guests were treated to a couple of songs from Mr Cayabyab and RCS. The event raised $1750 for Kusina ng Kalinga , thanks to the sponsorship of Olsen Wines who donated packs of wines for auction.
